Don't forget to count the number of children you have. It is also important to note how many children you will have in the future. You do not want to lock yourself into a car that has 5 seats when you might need a sixth seat in 9 months. Remember that you need to factor in friends and relatives as well.

- How long do you plan to own this car?

Will you be passing this car onto your kids when they can drive? The length of time you plan on owning this car should really be a big factor in buying a car. If you do not plan on keeping it for a long time then you might want to buy something that is cheaper.

- How much space will you need?

Now that you have counted your kids, how much space will need for other things? You may need a lot of space for sports or for travel. Space is very important, especially if you have a lot of stuff you need to transport. Again, you do not want to get stuck with a car that really does not help you.
